“Buffalo Kids”: We all can be heroes

If cinema has that magical ability to move its viewers, Buffalo Kids goes a little further, becoming a great life lesson.

A life that is that of Pedro Solís. In 2013, inspired by her daughter's beautiful relationship with her brother Nico, who was born with cerebral palsy, he released Cuerdas, the Guinness record for the most awarded short film in history.

This summer, in co-direction with Galo (Juan Jesús García Galocha) – director of Momias – he is once again inspired by his children's relationship to present Buffalo Kids.

It is an epic adventure starring Tom and Mary, two orphaned siblings who land in New York at the end of the 19th century. To reunite with their uncle, they venture as stowaways on a train through the Wild West where they will meet Nick, a new and extraordinary friend with cerebral palsy, who will change their lives forever. Together they will start a dangerous journey, facing evil villains, making unexpected friends and experiencing unique situations.

A film we can learn from than anyone can be a hero. About the need of a home and the importance of affection, with very skillful nods to Titanic, the best westerns and even a subtle tribute to Taxi Driver.

A fast-paced adventure, fun and moving, that is also a deep journey into ourselves. From the moment we enter the cinema in a hurry, until we leave thinking that we can all be heroes and the world a better place.
